A Year In Review!

And what a year it has been!

On top of teaching nearly 30 lessons per week all year, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with some truly incredible artists on some amazing projects. Check out some of my clients' recent successes on my coaching page! I could not be more proud of my clients booking Broadway, Off-Broadway, national and international tours, awesome regional gigs and new representation! It's been an incredible year!

Just for fun, check out a video of me singing "Grand Knowing You" from She Loves Me at Broadway Sessions on my Media Page!

Before I dive into the 2016-2017 season, I'm pleased to announce I'll be serving as Associate Conductor/Music Director of Amerike-The Golden Land with The National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene. After last year's Drama Desk and Off-Broadway Alliance nominations for Outstanding Revival, I could not be happier to be joining the leadership of this star studded cast.

In the fall, I began teaching alongside Jamibeth Margolis (CSA) in her one of a kind classes: Musical Scene Study, New Works Scene Study, and Musical Theatre Rep.  In Musical Scene Study, we cast the actors in some of the most iconic musical scenes, and challenge them to bring them to life. New Works Scene Study is dedicated to partnering with established artists, and allowing them to workshop new material directly with the actors and make changes as class goes on. This is a truly unique class! We finished out the season this year with a Rep Class, covering the full repetoire every actor needs to have a unique, and fully realized book. Each one features agents joining us on the final evening to add there critique. I'm happy to say that we had many students sign with our visiting agents this season!

Keep an eye out for another New Works Scene Study coming this summer!

This spring I began work music directing and supervising Music City by Peter Zinn and JT Harding, under the fantastic direction of Mary Catherine Burke (former Director of Programming at NYMF, and recently named Artistic Director of Cape Fear Regional Theatre!) This show holds a special place in my heart, and I'm delighted to be working to bring it into the world. JT Harding has five #1 Billboard Hits, including Smile (Uncle Kracker) and his song Different For Girls was recently nominated for a Grammy Award.

I also joined the team of Burlesque To Broadway as Music Director, bringing this bright, sexy musical adventure across the country with a ten piece live band!

My education work continued at The American Musical Theatre Academy, teaching vocal technique, song analysis and audition coaching. This May, my travels took me to NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing program, to help music direct some of their final projects. It is such a joy to be working with the next generation of talent on and off stage!

Stay tuned for what is sure to be an exciting summer! There should be a few more surprises along the way!
